Survey: US Employees Feel They Are Silenced In the Workplace

Large majorities of US workers believe that “respectfully discussing” their religious (60%) or political (64%) views will negatively impact their employment

(Moscow, Idaho) – According to a recent Ipsos/Alliance Defending Freedom survey, 3 in 5 American workers fear that expressing their religious or political views in the workplace would damage their career. And, a majority (54%) believe posting their religious or political views on social media could also have negative impacts on their employment.

“Work is where we spend most of our waking hours,” said RedBalloon CEO Andrew Crapuchettes. “It’s where we should be free to bring our whole selves, to be who we are, and to thrive in an open, accepting environment. But woke workplace policies, including so-called DEI policies, are being used to silence employees who may not adhere to the latest virtue signaling cause.”

“Strong company culture is essential to attracting and retaining top talent,” continued Crapuchettes. “But we’re seeing, through great resignation and the great regret, that employees are restless. The American workplace is unsettling, and we’ve largely lost the ability to create strong workplace culture.”

“That’s why RedBalloon has grown so quickly,” added Crapuchettes. “Employers on our site openly promote freedom in the workplace, and positive, uplifting workplace culture free from divisive policies that pit one ethnicity or gender over another.”
